For businesses

Your catalogs, manuals and archives have value to AI companies.

Small and mid-sized businesses hold exactly the kind of specialised, well-written material AI models need. We help you license it — safely, legally, and without taking up your time.

The process

What happens, step by step.

01

Tell us what you have

Fill in the short form below. A rough description is enough — you don't need to send any files yet.

02

We check it with you

We look at whether there's demand for your kind of data, and go through with you what you created yourself and have the right to share.

03

We do the work

Once you agree, we collect the data, remove or anonymise anything personal, and convert it into a standard format.

04

You earn when it's licensed

Your data is combined with similar businesses' data into a dataset. When an AI company licenses it, you receive your share.

What we need from you

Less than you might expect.

  • A short conversation about what data you hold and how it was created.

  • Access to the data, in whatever form it's in today — folders, exports, a website, a shared drive.

  • Your confirmation, in a written agreement, that the business created or owns the material.

  • Answers to a few questions about personal information the data may contain.

How you earn

A share of every license.

AI companies pay to license datasets. When a dataset that includes your data is licensed, the revenue is shared between your business and Solace Data.

Your share depends on the type and amount of data you contribute. The exact terms are set out in a written agreement before anything is shared — you'll know how you're paid before you decide.

  • You keep ownership of your material
  • Terms agreed in writing up front
  • You can ask what your data has been licensed for

Data protection

We only license what you have the right to share.

Before any data leaves your business, we go through it with you to establish what you created yourself, what you commissioned with full rights, and what came from someone else. Only the first two can be licensed.

Personal information — about customers, staff or anyone else — is either removed or anonymised so that no person can be identified. Where that can't be done reliably, the data is excluded.

Each dataset carries a record of where its contents came from and how they were processed, so your business is never exposed to uses you didn't agree to.

Common questions

What business owners ask us.

Is this legal?
Yes, when it is done properly. We only license data your business has the right to share, we exclude or anonymise personal information, and every arrangement is set out in a written agreement. We work within applicable data protection law, including GDPR and KVKK.
How much work is it for me?
Very little. After the first conversation, we handle the cleaning, formatting and paperwork. We may come back to you with a few questions about where specific material came from.
Do I give up ownership?
No. You grant a license to use the data for AI training under agreed terms. Your business keeps ownership of its material.
What will I earn?
It depends on the type of data, how much there is, and demand from buyers. We'll give you an honest view after the assessment, before you commit to anything.
What if my data includes customer details?
Tell us — that's what the question in the form is for. In most cases we remove personal information entirely or anonymise it so no individual can be identified. If that isn't possible, we leave that data out.

Tell us about your data.

It takes about five minutes. We'll reply by email with a first view of whether your data is a fit.
